November Stamp Club

Holiday bag made from window sheet/transparency sheet.
Stamped on it with Staz-On white or Craft White ink.

Thanksgiving card.  Background is the Core'dinations Card Stock (127848) and embossed in the Wood Grain folder. I sanded it to get the worn look and the core color appears.

Salt Dough Tree Ornaments

Great and easy gift for the holidays.  Just make Salt dough (I Googled and found a recipe online).  Roll out the dough on a floured surface.  Stamped with a Stampin' Up! Cookie press using Ink (I used Not Quite Navy) and cut out with a round cookie cutter.  Note: if you don't have the right size cookie cutter, use a glass or jar. To harden bake on 350 until hard...I took mine out just before they started to bubble and smashed them down and let them air dry the rest of the way.  Took a couple days but they will air dry. You can't tell by the picture but I finished it by adding a little Shimmer Paint on the white area to give it some SPARKLE.
If you make some, share your link to a picture in comments...I love to see what others have done!

Stampin' Up! Convention 2012

Every year I go I have so much fun and learn A LOT! This year convention was a little more mellow then the past, but still always great when they give out free stamp sets!

Also great to see old friends (Chairl was my roommate right before I got married). Even though we live in different states we always seem to find each other at convention.

This years theme is I AM. I decided that I AM creative. What are you?

June Stamp Club

Happy summer everyone! The instructions for May's project will be emailed to club members. It was entered into a contest and one of the rules is that it can not be posted or published anywhere. So, that will be coming soon.

For June we learned the different ways/mediums that you can watercolor and we made a bookmark using a wheel. Lastly I taught how to mask. You use masking when you have more then one object in a scene and you want to give them dimension. For example the flower card. I stamped the flower on a post it note, cut out the shape and place over the object (red flowers) that I wanted to appear in the front. Then I stamped the yellow flower and it gives it the effect that it the yellow flower is behind the red flower.

Happy stamping. Let me know if you have any questions.

March Projects

12x12 Party Banner Scrapbook Page

I love the Pennant builder (item# 122742 clear)set and punch(item# 122361).  Ok, so I like all punches!  This made an easy and cute page.  Here's a bit of tips and tricks about the page:
  • candles flames are the wings from the SU Bird punch (item #117191) and put Dazzling Details (item #124117) on them to make them sparkle.
  • I used 3 different embossing folders to texture the candles

Everyday Elegance Mini Treat Box

This cute tiny little box was made from the Simply Sent Everyday Elegance card kit (item #122377).  It was in the Sale-a-brations catalog (which is sadly that promotion is over) but luckily you can still order it for $11.95 in the regular catalog.  I love showing a different use for thing.  These are usually used for quick and easy cards.
